The GRYC/DYCD P.S. 128 COMPASS After-School Program serves approximately 177 children. Our program is a collaboration between the COMPASS initiative and the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council. It is available to the students of P.S.128 in grades K-5. The program operates Monday – Friday, between 2:10pm-5:30pm in accordance with the school calendar year. The Program is Free and Funded by DYCD.
Our goal is to provide a safe, educational and fun filled environment. We follow all DOH COVID Guidelines. Our activities are designed to provide educational enrichment and SEL through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Homework Help, Gym/Fitness, Yoga, Arts & Crafts, Games, Flower Power, Creative Writing, and Sports Activities. The Homework Help program enhances the student’s school day experience and is offered in person and remotely. Good assignments, completed successfully, can help children develop wholesome habits and attitudes. Special events will be offered. Snacks are provided daily by the USDA through School Food Services, NYC Department of Education.
